Tweedz Braided Headphones - Travel Guide for Music Lovers

Austin, TX. The state capital of Texas and home to the world famous South by Southwest and Austin City Limits music festivals, Austin is the self-proclaimed "Live Music Capitol of the World".

Sights:
Put in your Tweedz, turn on some tunes, and head down to Town Lake for a good walk or run (technically it's Butler Trail at Lady Bird Lake, but locals just call it Town Lake). Just on the edge of Zilker Park (the home of Austin City Limits music festival), for the walker, it's an amazingly serene place to both people and nature watch. You'll see Austinites out in force - hipsters, students, athletes, families and more. For the runner, it's the most scenic trail in town. You can get in anywhere from 1-10 miles depending on the trail you choose, and you'll get plenty of motivation from the countless training marathoners and fitness junkies. And what other run takes you by a bronze statue of Stevie Ray Vaughn?

Sounds:
In a city that prides itself on amazing live music ("The Live Music Capital of the World") and being weird ("Keep Austin Weird"), Ego's is a great place to get a dose of both. Discretely hidden in a south side parking lot, Ego's is a perfect spot to have great cocktail, shoot some pool, and take in some local tunes from an array of local Austin bands. A dive bar with a uniquely Austin vibe. Oh...and they have great karaoke.

Salivation:
Breakfast tacos are an Austin staple, and El Chilito serves up the best in town. Located in East Austin, this order at the window taco joint sports a nice patio to chow down on your tacos. Breakfast is served all day, but their regular tacos are pretty amazing too. Not to mention the frozen sangria.

That's all for now. Be sure to check back for more travel recommendations with a music spin.
